RESCUE FROM HEIGHT TRAINING COURSES

The use of fall arrest equipment is mandatory in many working situations to prevent workers hitting the floor in the event of a slip or fall. It is readily accepted that even if not injured during a fall a serious medical condition can occur in a relatively short period of being suspended in a harness.

Emergency services are often not equipped to deal with such a situation and response times can be beyond that which is considered to be dangerous for a suspended person. An effective rescue procedure will need to be carried out by site operatives to move the casualty to a place of safety.
