    • BOHS-P406 SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SAFE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ASBESTOS COURSE

    The new Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR 2006) which came into force in November 2006 put even greater stress on training, asbestos awareness training and asbestos management in the UK.

    With property development and expectations on local government and housing associations at an all time high the need for quality and reliable asbestos services from organisations becomes paramount.

    COURSE OBJECTIVE

    This course has been developed in line with Chapter 4 of the licensed work with Asbestos insulation, Asbestos coatings and Asbestos insulation board (HSG247) also known as the contractor’s guide (16) and specifies the training required for supervisors and those managing the removal of or working with Asbestos.

    This course aims to provide the training needs for Supervisory licence holders as specified in that document. The module is set at proficiency level which provides the student with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to act as a supervisory licence holder.Who should attend? All personnel with responsibility for management and supervising asbestos removal.

    Prior knowledge

    An awareness of Health & Safety issues would be an advantage but not essential.

    3 days plus Practical Assessment and Exam 1 day. £POA
