BOHS-P402 BUILDING SURVEYS AND BULK SAMPLING TRAINING
The new Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (CAR 2006) which came into force in November 2006 put even greater stress on training, asbestos awareness training and asbestos management in the UK.
With property development and expectations on local government and housing associations at an all time high the need for quality and reliable asbestos services from organisations becomes paramount.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course has been developed to provide full practical understanding of the surveying of buildings for the presence of Asbestos, and any bulk sampling that may be required.
The proficiency level module provides the student with the practical knowledge and skills to carry out the stated work, and the two day course concludes with a BOHS invigilated exam.
To gain the Proficiency Certificate, candidates will need to provide evidence of field proficiency, normally the submission of two survey reports which include sampling (type 2 or 3), submitted within six months of the exam.
Who should attend? All personnel with responsibility for carrying out Building Surveys for Asbestos and Bulk sampling.
Prior knowledge
An awareness of Health & Safety issues would be an advantage but not essential.
