INDUSTRIAL FIRE PREVENTION SEMINARS AND SAFETY COURSES
No event can have such a devastating effect as that of a fire in the workplace. In 2005 / 2006 there were 33,500 fires in commercial premises attended by the Fire Service. These fires took the lives of 33 employees.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 fire fighting equipment must be provided and a number of competent persons trained in its use.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course has been designed for members of staff nominated as Competent Persons, to have a greater understanding of the fire risks in the workplace and be able to carry out company procedures. They will learn about fire, the way in which it spreads and the way to fight fire.
An understanding of fire safety risks and how to prevent them will also be gained.
