COSHH TRAINING AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES SAFETY COURSE
Hazardous substances come in every conceivable form, and include not only labeled products, but the by products of work like fumes and dust, and infectious pathogens like legionella and HIV.
The Law requires that all staff who may come into contact with hazardous substances must receive appropriate training, and that proper COSHH assessments must be carried out.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course will provide a thorough understanding of the ways in which substances can harm your health and how they enter the body, including a greater understanding of practical control measures, including local exhaust ventilation and safe systems of work.
Delegates will also gain knowledge for definition of exposure levels and skills to understand exposure and conduct COSHH Assessments.
Who Should Attend?
All those with responsibility for using, handling, transporting and storing hazardous substances.
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
An awareness of Health & Safety issues would be an advantage but not essential.
